Sean Yost

Lead Pastor

Sean and his wife Barbara were a part of the founding leadership team of Christ the Redeemer Church. Sean is the Lead Pastor and is set to lead Redeemer into its future. Sean is Assistant Bishop for the Archdiocese of Florida.

Sean is an excellent communicator and leader and is a very gifted motivator. He is founder and Executive Director of YouthQuake Live, a monthly show created and performed by teenagers to reach other teenagers with the Gospel of Christ. He was also co-host on a television reality services called "the Ultimate Choice," which airs weekly on the WB.

Sean and Barbara have three children and live in Ponte Vedra, Florida. He lives on the edge in every area of his life – skydiving, white water rafting, bicycling, hang gliding, you name it! He loves the 80's and is a huge Star Wars fan.

David Sheffield

Assistant Pastor, Pastoral Care & Missions

David has served in the pastoral ministry for over 30 years.  He holds a BS Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies.  David has traveled to many nations leading mission trips, and served with his wife, Robin, for two years on a church staff in Mexico City.  

David is currently an assistant pastor with responsibilities in the area of pastoral care, counseling, Life Groups, missions, men’s ministry, baby dedications, water baptisms, service, oversight, communion team, altar prayer and teaching.  He is also a hospital chaplain serving locally at Shands Jacksonville.  He has been married to Robin for over 25 years, and they have three children in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

David is fun loving and his sense of humor will always set at ease those around him.

Kathleen Ziegler

Worship Leader

Kathleen has been a member of Christ the Redeemer Church since she was in middle school and joined the Redeemer staff team in October 2007. Kathleen is Redeemer's worship leader and leads a team an amazing team of singers and musicians who desire to use their gifts to honor the Lord through worship. Kathleen & her team are committed to creating an atmosphere of worship that leads people into the manifest presence of God.

Kathleen and her husband Jeramy are due to welcome their first child, Jude, in October 2012. In addition to being a wife & new mom, Kathleen enjoys long walks on the beach, date nights with her husband, quality time with friends and traveling to unreached nations on mission trips. Last but not least, Kathleen has two Australian shepherds, Maverick and Goose!

Daniel Burton

Middle School Director

One of his main passions is seeing teens fulfill their God-given destiny and potential. Every student, and even every person, has a plan and a purpose for their lives. The body of Christ takes everyone pulling together to build the Kingdom of God and is only accomplishable when we allow the strength of God to flow through us.

Daniel has recently started getting more involved in airsoft and loves to play at a few various locations. Some of his favorite movies are Lord of the Rings, the Bourne Trilogy, and other action movies. While he has no wife or kids, he has one crazy dog named Izze whom he loves to play with.

Bowen Slade

Assistant Pastor, Children

Bowen ministers to our children, ages K-5th grades. He is the proud father of three children (and believes that a father's highest calling is raising and leading Godly children.) His passion is leading kids to Jesus and teaching them that they are loved by God, and that God has a destiny for them. He knows that when you introduce a child to Christ, they are more likely to walk in that relationship for a lifetime than if they come to Christ at a later age.

A native of Jacksonville, Pastor Bowen got his undergraduate degree from the University of North Florida with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Real Estate. He later graduated from the Institute of Professional Youth Ministry and has served as a youth pastor, a worship leader and led mission trips. (He also served for six years on the executive board and in the monthly production of YouthQuake Live). He is a mentor to dads and leads a weekly men's breakfast fellowship. He enjoys surfing, fishing, and hunting and says that the biggest game he ever bagged was his trophy wife. He and Lissa serve together at Redeemer to minister to the spiritual needs of today's busy families.
