My Roles: Assistant Worship Leader & Assistant to Pastor Steve Bowersox

My Worship Experience (aside from Redeemer):
The first worship team I joined was with the ministry of YouthQuake Live, as a background vocalist at the age of 14. I never had sung before, so this was a huge new thing for me! From the first monthly show, as I helped to lead 2,000 people in worship, I knew that I wanted to be involved in worship for the rest of my life. I became the worship leader for this ministry 3 years later, and continued in this incredible role for a couple years.

There is nothing sweeter, or more precious to my heart, than being part of someone's first encounter with Jesus, especially when it happens through worship! I have been leading worship for various ministries, and here at Redeemer, ever since then. I know it is my calling, and I consider every single service or event an incredible opportunity to change people's eternal destiny!!

My Personal Vision:
I have to passions that light me up on the inside more than any other desires. These are World Missions and Worship. It is my heart's cry not only to see revival come forth here in our city and in this nation, but beyond borders into the unreached people groups of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East! I long so badly for every person to know what it feels like to sit at the feet of Jesus, let go of everything, and encounter Him in that deep place called worship. 

My Journey:
When I was five years old, my parents picked up all of our belongings and their three children and followed the call of God on their lives into world missions. I have so many memories, as I watched firsthand the captive people of this world being set free by the power of Jesus in over 40 nations. God has given me so many stories and testimonies of His miraculous power and amazing love. I believe over the coming years as I work in worship ministry, He will turn these stories into songs that will be used to redeem broken hearts, hurting souls, and desperate lives. I am SO excited about what God has in store for the future!

Hobbies & Interests:
The beautiful Jacksonville beach, my family, dear friends, shopping, singing really loud , traveling the world, working with young people, studying cultures, learning to play the keyboard, and so much more!

About My Family:
My parents, Mark and Janet Baxter, are the directors of Youth With a Mission Jacksonville. My sister, Jenn, is three years younger than me and keeps my life exciting and fresh! She has huge dreams and sweet, pure heart. My brother, Daniel, is 2 years older than I and is exceptionally good at golf. He plans on joining the PGA Tour in 2012. I think he'll make it- no doubt! And, last but not least, our two super cute labrador retrievers, Jada and Ryley!
