Steve has been the Worship Leader at Christ the Redeemer Church for over 12 years. He is the Founder and President of the Bowersox Institute of Music, a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of the musician in worship.
Steve holds several degrees in music and business, and is recognized as a pioneer and leader for technology in the church. He recently acquired his Doctorate in Religious Philosophy and Christian Media and Arts. Steve has written and created several products, has expertise in arranging, worship leading and is proficient in wind instruments, guitar, bass, electronic keyboards and MIDI. Steve also leads a monthly worship minister's group in Jacksonville called JAMM (Jacksonville Alliance of Music Ministers), which brings together music directors from all over the city for fellowship and training in areas of music and worship and technology.
Steve and his wife Kathy have twins (Ben and Brooke) and a daughter Rachel. He is a connoisseur of coffee and a master of puns and jokes.
